We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Executive Vice President to lead and grow the corporate storytelling group within our Corporate Affairs Practice. The corporate storytelling group is a specialty team of writers, scientific storytellers, corporate brand builders, executive writers, and digital/social thought leadership strategists. The leader of this group will be responsible for the team's development and execution of key corporate affairs content for clients ranging from development of company narratives, articulation of our clients' mission and vision to internal communications strategic communications and key thought leadership initiatives. The EVP will also be expected to provide strategic storytelling advice as well as be involved in the execution of the strategy. This person will collaborate closely with senior management to identify and pitch client prospects. This means helping to drive the development of new business pitches and serving an integral role in the development of new Corporate Affairs offerings tailored to the needs of our client base.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership: Manage and inspire a team of writers, editors, and strategists to produce high-quality content that aligns with client goals.
  • Strategy Development: Build and enhance the specialty group including its offerings, its integrated services within the agency, and ability to identify opportunities to cross sell services that benefit clients, the practice, and our agency.
  • Creative Management: Oversee creative processes, ensuring that content is compelling and strategic, both narratively and visually.
  • Client Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions.
  • Innovation: Stay ahead of curve on corporate storytelling trends;  advise client senior leaders on reputational opportunities and business drivers. 
  •  Infuse new creative and storytelling elements into our clients' communications across all mediums (including digital and social) to engage target audiences.

Required credentials
  • Leadership experience in healthcare corporate communications, with experience leading thought leadership and executive visibility programs and campaigns. 
  • Proven experience in building practice groups and managing teams in an agency setting (agency background preferred).
  • Strong background in content strategy, branding, and storytelling.
  • Exceptional editorial skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Collaborative and strong ability to manage, motivate and grow teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; skilled at conveying a story in PowerPoint. 
  • Strength in financial and client program management (ability to use Excel proficiently, clearly write strategic plans, develop timelines and scopes of work, manage work within client budgets).

Preferred Skills:
  • Editorial leadership and content strategy expertise.
  • Ability to uncover and tell compelling client stories.
  • Experience in thought leadership and development of executive content, and in corporate and executive awards content
  • Strong analytical and creative abilities.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $240,000 to $290,000. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
