Position Information:
The Exercise Specialist will apply clinical expertise and advanced knowledge in exercise science to the development of evaluation tools for the clinical practices of the department and its programs. Duties include review of patient's medical history, determination of appropriate testing protocols, and explanation of test to the patient. Will monitor and record heart rate, blood pressure, EKG response, and signs/symptoms associated with exercise. Determine the endpoint of testing and ensure a diagnostic study. Data collection and summary are also required. Also, maintains professional practice standards, clinical competence, and daily operations of the department.
Experience Requirements:
1 Year Fitness or Other Clinical Exercise Required - And 1 Year Clinical - Cardiac Rehabilitation Preferred
Education Required:
Bachelor's Degree Exercise Science Or Physical Education Required - And Master's Degree Exercise Science Or Physical Education Preferred
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist Required
