SALARY

Commensurate with training and experience. This position is funded jointly by UT Extension and Lake County. Lake County Government funds 22% of the position salary and benefits costs.

Qualifications:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for management and operations of the county staff, programs, facilities and equipment.
  • Keep abreast of the latest information in 4-H Youth Development to meet the educational needs of the county.
  • Responsible for the County Equal Employment Opportunity Program.
  • Serve as liaison between the Regional Director, county officials and County Agricultural Extension Committee.
  • Be familiar with the county, its situation and its people.
  • Maintain good public relations with staff and audience.
  • Provide leadership for a program of activities that meets the needs of all eligible clientele regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, religion or veteran status.
  • Assume other duties as assigned.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree Agriculture, Family and Consumer Sciences, or a field related to Education and/or Youth Development is required.
  • Master's Degree in Agriculture, Family and Consumer Sciences, or a field related to Education and/or Youth Development is required. Applicants applying prior to position start date are welcome to apply.
