Job Summary
Coaching and oversight of all aspects of the Redbird Cheer Program including but not limited to:
1. One Extra Help Assistant Coach
2. Budget Management including fundraising opportunities
3. Safety for those involved in the program
4. Equipment upkeep and maintenance
5. Tryout process
6. Managing the team schedule to make sure they are present at all expected events
7. Making sure all administrative work is performed in a timely manner
8. Continuous positive promotion of Illinois State and the Athletics Program
9. Other duties as assigned
Coach will travel occasionally with cheer team to necessary away contests including basketball conference championship events and others as directed.
Salary Rate / Pay Rate
$30.00 per hour
Required Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree
2. One year of coach experience
3. Experience and familiarity with ISU Cheerleading Program
Work Hours
Varies, 28 hours per week maximum
Functional Expectations
Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation:
1. Remain at a workstation for extended periods.
2. Move about in various locations across campus as needed to complete day-to-day work.
3. Effectively communicate on a daily basis.
