Your Job

Georgia Pacific's Continuous Manufacturing Group (CMG) has an excellent opportunity for a Facilities Infrastructure Leader (FIL) to manage and support the CMG facilities infrastructure program. The FIL will oversee the strategic management and operational oversight of the organization's facilities and infrastructure. The FIL will set standards and expectations for facility infrastructure workflow processes, including inspection requirements and resources required to execute the program. This role is pivotal in ensuring the effective maintenance, safety, and efficiency of all facility infrastructure assets and their environments.

The role will ensure that facilities comply with all company requirements and recommendations, regulatory requirements, and relevant codes, standards, guidelines, and Recognized and Generally Accepted Good Engineering Practices (RAGAGEP) from industrial and professional organizations. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with a strong background in facilities management, engineering, and project management.

What You Will Do

  • Principled Based Management (PBM): Advance the Principled Based Management culture through the application of PBM principles and mental models in interactions with team members
  • Strategic (Standards) Planning: Develop and implement guidelines and standards for facilities infrastructure programs, ensuring alignment with the organization's goals and objectives. Technical owner of the CMG facilities infrastructure program.
  • Project Management: Support infrastructure project teams, ensuring compliance with company guidelines and standards.
  • Maintenance and Operations: Support the maintenance, repair, and operational functions of all facilities, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment. Determine best practices that need to be implemented across the organization to standardize work processes and execution of the CMG facilities infrastructure program
  • Budget Management: Support the development of facility budgets, ensuring cost-effective resource utilization and adherence to financial guidelines.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure all facilities comply with relevant regulations, codes, and standards.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the facilities management team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Vendor Management: Support the selection and management of contractors, vendors, and service providers, ensuring high-quality services and performance.
  • Technology Integration: Leverage technology and innovative solutions to enhance facilities management processes and infrastructure efficiency.
  • Sustainability Initiatives: Promote and implement sustainable practices to minimize the environmental impact of facility operations. Establish metrics to measure the progress and sustainability of the facility infrastructure program, including review with facility leadership on a standard cadence
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with senior management, employees, and external partners to address facilities-related needs and projects.


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in facilities management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
  • Commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.


What Will Put You Ahead

  • Proven track record of managing large-scale projects and budgets.
  • Proficiency in facilities management software and technology solutions.
  • Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or similar certification is a plus.
  • Familiarity with other reliability-based work processes (i.e., facility preservation, fixed equipment, lubrication, precision)


For this role, we anticipate paying $160-$190 per year
