Responsibilities:

Facilities Management:
  • Oversee the maintenance and operation of all laboratory and office facilities.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Coordinate facility repairs, improvements, and renovations as needed.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers.
  • Monitor and manage facility budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations.

Laboratory Management:
  • Ensure the efficient operation of all laboratory spaces, including equipment maintenance and calibration.
  • Oversee the procurement, inventory, and management of laboratory supplies and reagents.
  • Implement and maintain laboratory safety protocols and procedures.
  • Coordinate with research teams to support their equipment and space needs.

Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance:
  • Develop and implement health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections.
  • Provide training and support to staff on safety practices and emergency procedures.
  • Ensure proper disposal of hazardous materials and waste.

Administrative and Support Functions:
  • Maintain records of facility and equipment maintenance, safety inspections, and regulatory compliance.
  • Assist with the planning and execution of facility-related projects and initiatives.
  • Support the onboarding of new employees by providing training on lab and facility procedures.


Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in facilities management, engineering, life sciences, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities and laboratory management, preferably in a biotech or pharmaceutical setting.
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory equipment, maintenance procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
