The Facilities Maintenance Technician/Custodian is responsible for the Eagleville facility and property, including performing highly diversified duties to maintain grounds, install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain office, and warehouse. Basic plumbing, electrical and construction skills are preferred. Facilities Maintenance Technician/Custodian must be able to diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments. Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Facilities Maintenance technician
- Work in a safe manner, recognize and correct service center hazards, and comply with WBI, OSHA and DOT safety requirements.
- Serve as a safe and productive member of the company.
- Take pride in the physical appearance of the property through improving and maintaining our equipment, facility, and grounds.
- Daily walk around/clean up outside grounds.
- Weekly lawncare - mow, trim/weed eat, blow, maintain lawn and flower beds free of weeds.
- Keep all concrete areas free of trash and debris.
- Wash vehicles / equipment.
- Receive work requests for recurring and non-recurring tasks.
- Constantly identifies areas to improve inefficiencies/productivity.
- Ability to recognize issues independently and resolve with limited to no input from supervision.
- Pick up parts from various vendors.
- Assist with set-up and take-down for meetings and events.
- Assist with loading & unloading of Wayne Brothers, Inc. (WBI) trucks as needed.
- Perform safely, effectively, and efficiently other maintenance-related manual labor duties as assigned to provide support to the company's operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Custodian
Warehouse / Service Center
- Wash rubber mats and position square with doors
- Sweep / mop all areas that the ride-on will not reach
- Vacuum runners & rugs
- Empty all trash cans
- Dust all surfaces as needed
- Shop break room - clean
- Shop refrigerator - stock soft drinks & clean
- Clean stairs at mezzanine
- Deep clean restrooms
- Clean equipment cages - both outside
Office
- Check for dirt on floors, spot cleaning in office area during lunch
- Set up and clean up for meals
- Office refrigerator - stock soft drinks & clean
- Clean and stock kitchen
- Sweep kitchen and clean floor
- Clean windows at the doors
- Clean restrooms - exhaust & refill towels & toilet paper
- Unload all Staples orders and put away supplies
ID21 Qualifications
- Basic understanding and competence in the following:
- Basic electricity
- Basic plumbing
- Basic construction
- Basic maintenance
- Basic lawn maintenance
Education and/or Experience
- High School Diploma/GED - required
- Two year technical degree in facilities related training and / or five years of experience in facilities maintenance
- Valid driver's license - required
- First Aid/CPR - desirable
- All-terrain material handler certification - required
- Aerial lift certification - desirable
- Experience in operation and maintenance of irrigation system - desirable
