General Summary

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible to maintain all Wayne Brothers' facilities and properties, including performing highly diversified duties to maintain grounds, install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain office, warehouse and wash building facilities. Basic plumbing, electrical and construction skills are preferred. Success Technician must be able to diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments. Successful Technician must also adhere to safe working policies and procedures and have a strong work ethic.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work in a safe manner, recognize and correct service center hazards, and comply with WBI, OSHA and DOT safety requirements.
  • Serve as a safe and productive member of the company.
  • Take pride in the physical appearance of the properties through improving and maintaining our equipment, facilities, and grounds.
  • Maintain the following facilities - Concrescere One, Alexander Road, Sudbury yard, Highway 3 N yard and Park Creek. Maintenance includes, but is not limited to mowing grass, spraying weeds, spraying insecticide and fungicide, trimming shrubs, blowing leaves, operating and maintaining irrigations system, picking up trash, changing light bulbs, changing HVAC filters, minor plumbing repairs, minor carpentry work, operate sweeper.
  • Daily walk around/clean up assigned area.
  • Keep all concrete areas free of trash and debris.
  • Wash vehicles / equipment.
  • Receive work requests for recurring and non-recurring tasks.
  • Constantly identifies areas to improve inefficiencies/productivity.
  • Ability to recognize issues independently and resolve with limited to no input from supervision.
  • Performs custodian responsibilities as needed.
  • Pick up parts from various vendors.
  • Park Creek Water Company - Check chlorine levels weekly, assist in reading water meters quarterly.
  • Assist with set-up and take-down for meetings and events.
  • Assist with loading & unloading of Wayne Brothers, Inc. (WBI) trucks as needed. Communicate equipment/material relocations to Logistics Supervisor.
  • Perform safely, effectively, and efficiently other maintenance-related manual labor duties as assigned to provide support to the company's operations.

• High School Diploma/GED - required• Two year technical degree in facilities related training and / or five years of experience in facilities maintenance• Valid driver's license - required• First Aid/CPR - desirable• All-terrain material handler certification - required• Aerial lift certification - desirable• Experience in operation and maintenance of irrigation system - desirable
