CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

• Plans, recommends, and monitors the repairs and changes needed to maintain the Yellow Springs facilities in good working condition.
• Inspects, troubleshoots, coordinates and records work performed via a CMMS.
• Monitors expenses needed for upkeep of facilities.
• Following all standard safety procedures, ISO standard requirements, and regulations
• Acts as liaison for contractors; i.e., HVAC, security, etc.
• Reports on performance as requested by the Facilities Team Leader.
• Acts as emergency contact when Yellow Springs plant is closed.
• Attend/participate in instructor led and/or web-based company training as required
• Conducts on-site investigations of critical maintenance problems.
• Provides outside contractor personnel with safety orientation to the facility, requirements of hazard communication standard and personal protective equipment such as hearing protection, safety glasses, etc.
• Provides updates to team leader on project status.
• Orders maintenance items as needed to complete maintenance projects in a timely manner. Contacts vendors on unsatisfactory quality items.
• Participation in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School education or GED
• Journeyman status in a trade or draft such as HVAC, Electrician, Plumber preferred.
• 5+ years in a general maintenance or trade capacity.
• Experience in HVAC or Refrigeration a plus.
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple jobs and projects.
• Ability to work with outside contractors and in a team environment
• Ability to operate tools required for the job.
• Valid state motor vehicle operator's license
• Must be able to use MS Office and CMMS
• Must be willing to follow all written and implied policies.
• Flexible forty-hour week but must be able to work moderate overtime to meet seasonal/cyclical demands of the business.
• Able to be on-call and react to after-hours demands.

DAY IN THE LIFE:

Regularly required to sit or stand, reach, bend and move about the facility and must be able to lift 50 lbs.

The person in this role must be able to sit and stand for extended period of time. Standard weekly job hours: 40 hours.

SALARY:

The estimated salary range for this position is $52,000 to $72,000 plus bonus. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.
