The Facilities Manager will help to run the cleanroom facility and chemical vapor deposition facility of the Integrated Nanofabrication and Cleanroom Facility (INCF). The INCF is one of the major shared user facilities at Lehigh University and provides nanofabrication, materials growth, characterization, and packaging capabilities to support multi-disciplinary research in Lehigh. 1. Manages the cleanroom and chemical vapor deposition facility.

• Qualifies and maintains semiconductor processing tools including tools for deposition, processing, etching, lithography, analysis, and characterization
• Manages and administers chemical safety training and documentation
• Provides and manages health and safety training.
• Acts as building manager for Sinclair Laboratory and Smith Family Laboratory (building)
• Provides training to new users.
• Provides instruction to new and potential users, both internal (Lehigh) and external (academic and industrial)
• Provides semiconductor process development.
• Responsible for maintaining the facility process cooling, liquid nitrogen, compressed air, DI/RO Water and Neutralization systems.
• Building Monitor and 24/7 Point Person for all emergency situations involving the Lehigh Police or Bethlehem Fire Department.

The duties of the position do not allow for a remote work option; the employee in this position will be required to work on campus where they can be fully accessible to the Lehigh community

Occasional evening, holiday or weekend. Evening hours may be necessary to complete a semiconductor process procedure or complete needed research samples for further evaluation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and Sciences or the equivalent combination of education and experience; Master's Degree in Engineering and Sciences preferred

• Five to eight years related work experience

• Experience in semiconductor fabrication process and equipment maintenance

• Extensive hands-on experience with equipment maintenance and repair

• Preferably to have prior experience working in semiconductor industry

• Minimum of experience with more than 8 years of industry or university facility maintenance

Successful completion of standard background checks including but not limited to: social security verification, education verification, national criminal background checks, motor vehicle checks, PATCH, FBI fingerprinting, Child Abuse Clearance and credit history based upon the requirements of the position
