About the role
As a CBRE Facilities Sr. Manager, you will lead many functions of building operations and maintenance for a facility, campus, or portfolio of buildings.
This job focuses on all aspects of the campus operations, providing support regarding leadership, site management and investment plans.
What you'll do
What you'll need
Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5 - 8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
Valid driver's license required.
Facility Management certification preferred.
Experience in the areas of staffing, training, development, mentoring and measuring performance and retention is preferred.
Ability to exchange sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
Leadership skills to motivate the team on broad operational targets with impact on multiple job disciplines and department.
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Extensive organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive attitude.
Intermediate math skills. Ability to calculate complicated figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.

About the role
As a CBRE Facilities Sr. Manager, you will lead many functions of building operations and maintenance for a facility, campus, or portfolio of buildings.
This job focuses on all aspects of the campus operations, providing support regarding leadership, site management and investment plans.
What you'll do
- Provide formal supervision to employees, training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and assist in the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
- Coordinate the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department progress. Mentor and coach as needed.
- Coordinate facility repairs and maintenance by working with technicians, vendors, and contractors.
- Maintain positive client relationships and conduct meetings on unresolved facility issues.
- Prepare and develop large and high-profile capital projects, operating budgets, and variance reports.
- Perform facility inspections quality assurance following local, state, and federal regulations. Suggest and implement operational efficiencies, repairs, and upgrade opportunities.
- Create environmental health and safety procedures for facilities.
- Develop vendor relationships and evaluate invoicing procedures. Review and approve purchase orders for the procurement of parts, services, and labor for projects.
- Apply a broad knowledge of the business and personal experience to achieve team and departmental objectives.
- Model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence others to acknowledge a different point of view while being guided by policies and departmental plans.
- Identify and resolve technical and operational problems of complexity.
- Understand and recognize the broader impact across the department.
- Improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards within job function.
