PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• To perform major tasks efficiently such as operate, troubleshoot, provide installation and maintenance services to standard and special facility equipment to control downtime/costs.
• Provide engineering methods improvements for facilities utilities, equipment and systems.
• Obtain appropriate training/skills and a proficient knowledge of the different facility equipment/systems for Technician I level.
• To operate, troubleshoot, and maintain the entire plant utilities, (electrical, water, humidity, sprinkler, steam, compressed air, chilled water, waste water, HVAC, dust collection, elevator/reciprocating, environmental, and life safety systems
• Maintain all machines/systems in top working condition.
• Be proactive on preventive maintenance and machine control upgrades. To provide and suggest needed changes to equipment to add reliability
• Surveys utilities systems in operation, during repairs and makes changes and engineering recommendations to improve operations and lower costs
• Provide electrical and mechanical support for elevators/reciprocators, docks, doors systems
• Electrical construction - installing, altering, troubleshooting, repairing, planning, or laying out electrical wiring, apparatus or equipment for light, heat, power, or other purposes under the personal supervision of a licensed electrician

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• Hands on experience working with: mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
• Proficient in providing troubleshooting
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Time management and prioritization skills, including being able to handle priorities and being self-directed
• Good communication, organization, planning skills with internal customers, external vendor, contractors, and technical service
• Willingness and capability to perform a very wide variety of indoor and outdoor tasks that will often be physically demanding
• Experience and comfort working with a wide variety of hand and power tools
• Self-motivated and driven with a desire for excellence

In 2024, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
