Your Role

You will provide technical expertise to support the Operations and Maintenance teams in terms of repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. You will have the opportunity to install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment.

In addition, you will develop and maintain partner relationships with your internal and external customers while responding to both critical and routine support requests. You will be an advocate in supporting NMG's Way of Working, which is a framework across all teams to work smarter, be present, and integrate work and life in a way that empowers you and others.

What You'll Do

• You will promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures • You will complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation • You will troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all Material Handling Equipment (MHE) which includes belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, and plumbing as it relates to the building, additional duties as assigned to support Operations and facility • You will develop and maintain a positive working relationship across all the Operations facility • You will track and facilitate department inventory • You will move objects weighing up to 50lbs with regular bending, lifting and reaching both below the waist and above the head, along with pushing and pulling wheeled dollies up to 100 pounds • You may be scheduled to work shifts lasting up to 12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodations

What You Bring • Two or more years of experience with automated conveyor systems and controls • Two or more years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures • Two or more years of experience in the repair of material-handling equipment • Ability to work in distribution environments that may be noisy and potentially work on rooftop equipment in extreme temperatures • One or more years of blueprint and electrical schematic reading • One or more years of knowledge with electrical and electronic principles • Able to work with others as well as work independently, you will be expected to be a self-starter • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize many different projects and workload • Understanding and knowledge of SDS (Safety Data Sheets) information • Background or experience in conveyor and forklift operation and repair

Preferred Qualifications

• Associates or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field • Two or more years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field • Experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safety standards accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Safety standards • Project Management experience • Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) • Able to troubleshoot basic input and output functions • Basic HVAC knowledge a plus Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by you to successfully perform the essential functions of this role. • You must have the ability to reach arms above head, kneel, squat, climb steps/ladders, and frequently lift a maximum of 50lbs of equipment • You must have the ability to perform tasks wearing a mask, face shield, and composite-toed boots/shoes • You will regularly be required to crouch and reach to install/move equipment by bending forward at the waist or by bending legs and spine • You must be able to move between departments, floors, and properties to facilitate your work duties, that can include walking 6 to 12 miles per day • You will be working in an environment with temperatures that fluctuate • You will be required to type on a computer or stand-up desk and for 1-2 hours per day on a regular basis
