The Health Sciences Office of Faculty Affairs (OFA) facilitates faculty career success and growth through professional development activities, mentorship and leadership training for faculty in the School of Medicine, Herbert Wertheim School of Public Health, and Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. OFA collects and analyzes faculty data to develop evidence-based effective programming and initiatives to enhance success, recruitment, and retention of an engaged, diverse, and inclusive faculty.

The Faculty Affairs Program Coordinator facilitates faculty development programs sponsored by the Office of Faculty Affairs. Under the direction of the Office of Faculty Affairs Director and Supervisor, assists the unit's program managers to support the programmatic and diversity / inclusion activities of the Office as needs arise.

Provides high level administrative back up support to the Sr. Assistant Vice Chancellor for Faculty Affairs, and the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Faculty Affairs and supports the daily administrative operations run smoothly for the executives' office as needed. This requires tact, diplomacy, discretion, and confidentiality on a wide variety of complex and highly sensitive issues.

Applies professional concepts to conduct studies or projects of moderate scope and complexity to address a variety of policy, research and procedural issues. Fully analyzes issues and problems, gathers data and information, finds and evaluates alternatives and makes sound recommendations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Six (6) years of related experience, education/training, OR a Bachelor's degree in related area plus two (2) years of related experience/training.
  • Excellent organizational skills, analytical, and demonstrated attention to detail. Ability to work with extremely complex faculty calendars / schedules requires extremely well organized and detail-oriented precision.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently coordinate, organize, plan and execute meetings and conferences. Skill in coordinating a variety of sessions for various groups assigned to different venues, arranging for use of meeting facilities, classrooms, conference rooms, A/V equipment, etc.
  • Proficient in communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Demonstrated ability to compose correspondence and reports for high-level officials/administrators.
  • Proficient in ability to use discretion and maintain all confidentiality.
  • Working knowledge of common organization- or research-specific and other computer application programs.
  • Demonstrates ability to use sound judgment in responding to issues and concerns.
  • Proficient in ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes.
  • Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Demonstrates ability to analyze, research and synthesize large amounts of data with strong attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of applicable policy analysis techniques.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Advanced degree in a related area preferred.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $58,600 - $100,800 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $28.07 - $48.28

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
