Faculty.Professor.Assistant - Full-Time

The Division of Infectious Diseases and the Center for Innovative Antimicrobial Therapy at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, Department of Medicine, invites applications for a dually appointed faculty position at the Assistant Professor level, appointment stream. Applicants should have an MD/DO and training in Epidemiology, Virology, or Microbiology, with an interest in innovative research and novel approaches to treating antibiotic-resistant infections, including new small molecules, pre-clinical animal models, pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic modeling, bacteriophage therapy, and/or other alternative therapeutics. Ongoing or anticipated R01 or equivalent funding is required.

An assistant professor should have demonstrated teaching ability, experience in advanced study and research, or professional experience of a kind that would enable them to make an academic contribution.
