The University of Pittsburgh, Department of Medicine, Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism is seeking a Research Assistant Professor in the appointment stream that will focus on understanding of how hypoxia signaling regulates metabolic homeostasis during various pathophysiological states. The research will involve in vitro and invivo models of L-cell-specific gain and loss of hypoxia signaling. This role will be responsible for conducting research on understanding the molecular mechanism of hypoxic regulation of nutrient sensing in L-cells and its therapeutic applications, in addition to several ongoing projects related to fatty liver disease and adipose tissue remodeling. Additional responsibilities include managing the lab as well as writing new grants and publications.

Qualified candidates must hold a doctoral-level education in the felid of medicine. This position requires at least 3 years of experience in related scientific research.
