Failure Analysis Engineering Technician, CT Scan & XRay

The Failure Analysis Team's mission is to determine root cause and contributing factors to improve the experience of Tesla's products by reducing field issues, in collaboration with large cross-section of other engineering teams. Engineers and Technicians on the team are responsible for a wide variety of vehicle and energy product systems for existing models and models in development. This role will support the team by completing both routine and non-routine CT scans of our various products.
Note: Typical work schedule: 7:00PM - 3:00PM


Responsibilities

• Setup and operate industrial CT and X-Ray systems (Machine specific training will be provided)

• Produce high-quality radiographic and CT imaging to facilitate investigations

• Document and communicate findings to internal customers

• Communicate and perform basic machine maintenance of the X-Ray and CT systems

• Provide input for the continued improvement of CT procedures

Requirements

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)
• Strong computer and diagnostics skills

• Ability to adapt to both large volumes of similar scans and low volumes of individual scans

• Tolerance for ambiguity

• Hands on experience with X-ray and CT preferred

• Fundamental understanding of X-Ray and CT theory is preferred

• Ability to lift 45 lbs.

Expected Compensation

$24.40 - $65.40/hour, depending on level + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
