Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (PA/NP) at Texas Spine & Joint Hospital in Tyler, Texas. The primary role will be to provide care pre- and post-operative care for elective surgical patients, while also supporting a very low volume, 2 bed emergency room. The PA/NP will support preoperative optimization of patients in outpatient, inpatient and ER settings. The PA/NP will act under the authority and supervision of the attending physician and in accordance with all regulations, hospital policy, protocols and clinical pathways. Must hold a current Texas advance practice nursing license or physician assistant license, current BLS and ACLS certification or the ability to obtain these within 90 days upon hire. The PA/NP applicant will have recent hospital and/or urgent care experience preferred. Strong internal medicine background required.
