Job Duties

Provide functional program support to the Family Services Coordinator. Provide oversight to successful initiatives to include the Family Reunification House and Prison Nursery programs. Responsible for adherence and support of policy and procedural development, executing and enforcing program protocols, and general oversight of daily program activities. Provide support with the development, implementation and reporting of programs, services, policies, training and programs. Ensures quality evidence-based programs and services are offered to meet individual inmate treatment needs. Works directly with inmates and their families to promote positive relationships with child(ren) and families. Establishes professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders in order to support inmates and their successful reentry. Promotes the development of self and staff through identified training opportunities and various networking opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications

Extensive understanding and experience using evidence-based cognitive behavioral, social learning, cognitive restructuring and/or other behavioral change approaches. Demonstrated ability to complete reports, develop policies and procedures, and conduct research on relevant best practices. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate both orally and written and develop partnerships with diverse community stakeholders. Experience in counseling and facilitating rehabilitative programs.

Additional Considerations

Working knowledge of family social services, available benefits and programs in the community. Knowledge of implementation science. Skilled in effectively presenting and communicating to diverse audiences. Working knowledge of gender-responsive and trauma-informed care practices. Skilled in project management. High school diploma or equivalent. Coursework in psychology, rehabilitation counseling, social work and/or related human services field. Professional certification in a relevant family counseling discipline or human services.
