The Fixed Income Division is comprised of Interest Rate and Currency Products, Credit Products and Distribution. Professionals in the Division assess and actively manage risk, trade securities, and structure as well as execute innovative transactions in the fast-paced and constantly changing global markets.

The US Client Financing sales desk based in New York is seeking an individual to help with our growing client facing business. The person will work with senior salespeople covering a broad array of investor types to contribute toward daily workings of the business while also spearheading longer term projects to help advance the business, pursue new revenue opportunities, and streamline current operational tasks. Products covered by the team include government bonds, interest rate derivatives, mortgage & credit structured financing and rates/agency money markets.

Key responsibilities:

  • Backing up senior sales in client coverage via trade execution, sending market color, and fielding adhoc client requests for our cross asset financing and short duration platform.
  • Focus on short duration strategies and maintaining relationships across money market and real money clients.
  • Liaising with research analysts, traders, and other internal constituents to deliver MS resources and bespoke content to the team and the client base
  • Identifying areas of business and operational inefficiency and proactively implementing improvements

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $150,000 and $200,000 for Associate at the commencement of employment, and between $225,000 and $250,000 per year for Vice President, at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
