Job description:
In your new role you will:
- Mainly be responsible of the new customer support and business development with a focus on Microcontroller support for the Automotive Business segment. Responsibilities will include first level customer support and training regarding microcontroller products and their application within the Automotive sector.
- Be responsible of the customer interface and communication with Headquarters on topics such as future product roadmap development.
- Partner with Sales colleagues and other FAEs to drive new business
- Create solutions for customer specific problems with Infineon products
- Provide technical support for the promotion of Infineon's microcontrollers
- Provide on-site support for developers who are using Infineon microcontrollers
- Conduct in-depth training courses on Infineon automotive microcontrollers for various automotive Tier1 and OEM companies.
- Understand and communicate North American regional requirements for Powertrain applications and influence the feature sets provided inInfineon's future microcontroller families
- Customer design-in support including schematic and layout reviews
Your Profile:
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
- BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
- 3-5 years of experience in automotive electronics development
- Strong customer interface and project/program management skills
- Proficient in embedded C programming, schematic review, and problem solving
- Strong leadership qualities and an ability to work effectively with customers
- Understanding of Software Development tools
- Knowledge of automotive software development processes
- Working level knowledge of the ISO26262 standard as it relates to microcontrollers and software is a plus
- Ability to adapt to various customer applications and support needed
- Experience in the lab environment: tools such as logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and other test equipment
- Understanding of OEM/Tier1 product development and qualification process is preferred
- 10 to 20% travel may be required (mostly local & regional travel)
