GEI is seeking highly motivated individuals to perform a broad range of field engineering and/or materials testing technician duties on long term (April -December ), full-time, projects in Sault Ste Marie.
Essential Responsibilities & Duties
- Candidates will work with engineers, contractors and project personnel while performing construction observation and documentation, materials testing services, and data collection for large scale infrastructure projects.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma required, AS degree in Engineering Technology, BS in Construction Management, or related field highly preferred.
- Previous experience in construction inspection and testing capacity with experience in soils, concrete, and bituminous paving.
- Certifications from ACI and/or State of Michigan highly desired.
- Previous Resident Engineering Experience is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills and valid driver's license are required.
- Must be willing to travel for both short and long term assignments.
- Preference will also be given toward candidates with experience using AutoCad and surveying equipment.
