The Technical Advisor (TA) provides hands-on technical assistance to participating builders and developers during design. This role is part of a cross functional, collaborative project team. The TA reports to the Senior TA who reports to the Deputy Director.

Summary of Primary Job Responsibilities and Duties:

* Analyzes and verifies green building program measures for program such as EarthCraft, ENERGY STAR, and Zero Energy Ready Home

* Provides construction technical assistance and guidance to builders and developers.

* Completes administrative tasks including data entry, scheduling, and site visit reports.

* Perform additional responsibilities related to the success of the organization

Required Skills & Experience

2-3 years' experience in the construction industry

Ability to read and understand construction plans/drawings

Skilled with Word, Excel, and Outlook

Ability to self-manage daily scheduling of site visits and follow up tasks

Organized and able to prioritize tasks with minimal direction

Valid Virginia driver's license

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Salesforce experience

RESNET RFI (Rating Field Inspector) or HERS Rater certified

NGBS Verifier certification

ENERGY STAR certification
