We are looking for a “Field Technical Spt Cons II” to join one of our Fortune 500 clients.

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Engineer with expertise in 3G, LTE, and 5G NR technologies. The ideal candidate will have experience in device/application development, strong analytical skills, and a deep understanding of wireless protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and enhance 3GPP 5G NR/LTE/3G protocol stacks, with a focus on PDCP, RLC, and MAC layers.
  • Collaborate with chipset vendors, wireless network operators, and network equipment manufacturers on device/application development.
  • Utilize network test equipment (Ixia, Spirent, Fluke Networks) and software tools (SCPI, LabView, TCL, PERL, Python) to automate testing and analysis.
  • Consume Web and Application Services on Android devices and perform hands-on testing and troubleshooting.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of 3GPP standards and specifications to ensure compliance and performance optimization.
Required Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in device/application development with handset manufacturers, wireless network operators, network equipment vendors, or chipset vendors.
  • 2+ years of experience in 3G/LTE/5G NR or other wireless protocol stack development.
  • Strong knowledge of 3GPP standards (GSM, UMTS, HSPA, LTE, 5G NR), 3GPP2 (1xRTT / EVDO), and/or OMA.
  • Experience in Wireless Standards (3GPP, 3GPP2) and network architectures, specifically focused on the Radio Access Network (RAN).
  • Proficient in system-level simulations, wireless modem logging, and analysis using tools such as QXDM, QCAT, Wireshark, and others.
  • Expertise in LTE Air Interface, PHY, MAC, RLC, RRC, and PDCP layers.
Desired Skills:
  • Experience with iOS development, including logging profiles and procedures.
  • Knowledge of VoLTE/VoNR/VoWiFi concepts and call flows.
  • Understanding of Carrier Aggregation, Dual Connectivity, DSDS/DSDA, eSIM/pSIM provisioning, and activation.
  • Scripting and test case automation skills are highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Qualcomm, Mediatek, LSI platforms, and automation tools.
Additional Requirements:
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to work on-site and engage in hands-on testing and problem-solving.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem resolution abilities.
