Our major client is seeking a Field Project Lead/Construction Lead to work within their facilities located in Dickinson, ND for a 12-months assignment (subject to extension).
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assume a substantial role for the Bakken Basin, providing onsite supervision and coordination of facility construction, surface maintenance, and compressor installation in an assigned geographical area.
- Serve as a safety leader, participating in the LSRV and BBS programs to ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Execute corrective maintenance activities, supporting the defect elimination process, and interfacing with key support groups and customers to ensure alignment with Asset & Operating Integrity (A&OI) program & Health Safety & Environmental (HSE) requirements.
- Direct all assigned well operations, construction, and maintenance activities to ensure compliance with ConocoPhillips safety policies/procedures and environmental and regulatory requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement by developing new philosophies and maintenance tactics, leading maintenance and reliability efforts within the asset to improve equipment reliability.
- Work with Operations to ensure proper prioritization of work, managing Change/Risk assessment responsibilities.
- Maintain a close link with planning and scheduling function to ensure strict discipline in observation of various work schedules.
- Coordinate with engineering and operations to achieve established objectives, ensure accurate project completion per design requirements, and minimize interruptions.
- Review invoices and verify billing, expenditures, and cost-control on assigned projects.
- Train and/or audit contract personnel on policies and procedures, driving contractor safety through HSE Management System & Contractor management, safety orientations, and management reviews with vendors.
- Establish procedures and guidelines, ensuring all work activities are performed according to established procedures, guidelines, and schedules.
- Lead and participate in incident investigations when needed.
- Current/ Valid Driver's License
- 7+ years of experience in oil and gas field operations with corrective maintenance and construction.
- Willingness and ability (with or without reasonable accommodations) to operate a motor vehicle and drive long distances.
- 15+ years of direct maintenance experience.
- Extensive working knowledge of field operations, construction operations.
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects.
- Strong leadership, mentoring, team building, and people development skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships based on trust and strive to seek collaboration across organizational boundaries to achieve goals.
- Responds inventively, flexibly, and positively when faced with challenges and demands.
