Under the direction of the Staff Services Manager I, the Field Representative (FR) in the Justice Data and Investigative Services Bureau, Client Services Program (CSP) provides coordination and audit/implementation assistance, outreach and training, and special project duties including, but not limited to: independently performs audits of local, state, and federal criminal justice/applicant agencies to ensure compliance with State and Federal statutes, policies, and procedures which include reviews, evaluates, and monitors agency compliance; organizes and conducts statewide and agency-specific training; and performs special projects to increase the accuracy of data entered into various databases supported by the Department of Justice (DOJ). The FR interacts with a variety of stakeholders and represents DOJ at various meetings.

Within the CSP, each FR will have a designated assignment(s) from the following areas of concentration: California Law Enforcement Telecommunications System and Criminal Offender Record Information, National Crime Information Center /California Justice Information Services Database Audits, Electronic Recording Delivery System, or the Stop Data Collection System. The FR must have a thorough working knowledge of the statutes, regulations, policies, and procedures of their assigned area.

This position is designated for telework under Government Code section 14200 for eligible applicants residing in California and may require reporting to headquarters or field offices and facilities to fulfill operational needs. All telework schedules are subject to change and may be reevaluated at any time. Telework does not change the terms and conditions of employment, the essential functions of job duties, or required compliance with the Department of Justice policies.

Statement of Qualifications (SOQ)

3. Describe a time when you were assigned to a team project were not everyone contributed their fair share of the work. How was the situation handled? What was the final outcome?
