- Work with customers onsite at in Maryland and provide remote support to other SMC affiliates to improve monitoring and control capabilities of our clients system, including:
The development of new components to monitor additional equipment/systems
Modify existing components to improve performance and functionality
Re-configuration of existing systems to leverage new functionality within the system

Pay Range is from 95,000 - 115,000 annually depending on level of skillset.

Required Skills & Experience
- Must hold an active Secret Clearance
- 3+ years of experience as a Field Service Rep, Field Service Engineer, or Systems Engineer
- Experience with one or more of the following languages: Python, Java, Jython
- Knowledge around basic networking concepts -- OSI layers, TCP/UDP, VLANs
- Experience w/ basic network monitoring tools -- SNMP, Netflow, and Syslog
- Familiar w/ in Linux environments (preferably RedHat) - will be supporting red hat linux
- OK w/ travel up 25%

Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Security+ certification. This can be done after hire if needed (means they can work on army systems)
- Industry experience in utilizing MongoDB databases
- Experience with front-end technologies such as Vue or Node
- RF Engineering experience/knowledge
- Knowledge in routing protocols, including BGP, RIP, OSPF, EIGRP
