Field Service Technician - Oiler

Job Description:

The Field Service Technician - Oiler is responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance services on vehicles and heavy equipment onsite and on the jobsite. Oiler will be responsible for operation of a lubrication truck to maintain equipment across multiple jobsites. Tasks include but are not limited to refueling equipment, checking, and refilling all fluids, and inspecting equipment for areas of concern. The Oiler will be responsible for upkeep of equipment across multiple jobsites and locations daily. This position requires a Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a Hazmat Endorsement and involves frequent travel to construction sites in central Arkansas.

This position is one in which a momentary lapse of attention may result in grave and immediate danger to themselves and others; therefore, this position is classified as safety sensitive.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operation of a lubrication truck onsite as well as between jobsites.
• Perform a variety of preventative maintenance tasks on equipment including, but not limited to, motor graders, bulldozers, excavators, pickup trucks, etc.
• Checking and refilling all fluids for vehicles and equipment. Including but not limited to fuel, oil, transmission and hydraulic fluids.
• Service vehicles according to established preventive maintenance schedule.
• Maintain accurate, updated records of preventive maintenance within the company's equipment management system.
• Inspect vehicles/equipment in the field and report any areas of concern to the shop manager/equipment manager.
• Operate tools, equipment, and machinery necessary for maintenance according to prescribed safety procedures.
• Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties including lifting, climbing, etc.
• Responsible for identifying unsafe conditions in the work area and correcting if able as well as communicating to supervisor.
• Responsible for keeping lubrication truck clean and in safe operating condition.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Class B CDL required with HAZMAT endorsement.
• Acceptable driving record with no accidents or violations in the last 3 years.
• Experience working with heavy equipment and vehicles.
• Must be able to work in a team environment and assist co-workers and supervisors with other duties as required.
• Ability to operate vehicles or equipment involved in various repairs.
• Must be able to climb, stoop, bend, and squat as required for various responsibilities.
• Must be able work outdoors in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold.
• Ability to work irregular hours as needed.
