State Compensation Insurance Fund is looking for a highly motivated and qualified individual to work in the Information Technology Service Division. Under the direction of the Information Technology Supervisor II, the IT Specialist I serves as the technical specialist to perform a wide variety of tasks requiring innovative problem- solving, project leadership and demonstrating an in-depth understanding and level of expertise of Business Technologies.
The incumbent shall demonstrate ethical behavior, work cooperatively with others and due to operational needs, periodically travel to institutions in the effort to provide onsite technical support.

On-site physical requirements:
• State Fund has adopted telework for employees who can effectively perform their essential work functions remotely. However, this is an essential position where hybrid telework is available in conjunction with on-site requirements; where the selected candidate will report to their assigned location(s) on either a scheduled, rotational, or as-needed basis.
• The selected candidate must be able to meet the essential on-site requirements by the agreed-upon start date, this could require, but is not limited to, relocation.
• State Fund is not considering relocation expense reimbursement for this position.
New to state candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of the alternate salary range when applicable. Placement to an alternate salary range may be based on education or experience identified in your state application.

Working Conditions
Selected candidate(s) hired may be required to attend in-person Onboarding at our Vacaville office with expenses for attendance paid by State Fund.
