Job Title: Field Technician / Technical Support Specialist (Reimaging Specialist)

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Technical Support Specialist with a primary focus on reimaging equipment for a special 4-8-week project. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently and effectively reimagining various devices, ensuring they meet organizational standards and requirements. This role requires strong technical aptitude skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. HTC will train and mentor for this specific project.

Responsibilities:
  • The main function of this job will be to perform reimaging of desktops, laptops, and other devices according to established procedures and guidelines.
  • Coordinate pick up and drop off equipment at the locations where the users are working
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure software configurations are accurate and up to date.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to reimaging processes and provide timely resolutions.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks on reimaged equipment to verify functionality and adherence to standards.
  • Document and maintain records of reimaging activities, including inventory management and tracking.
  • Assist in the development and improvement of reimaging procedures and workflows.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users regarding reimaged equipment as needed.
  • Stay updated on technological advancements and best practices in reimaging and technical support.

Qualifications:
  • Ability to be quickly trained on re-imaging equipment and work to meet deadlines.
  • Strong understanding & ability to learn imaging software such as Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT), Symantec Ghost, or similar tools.
  • Proficiency in operating systems, including Windows and macOS.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and workload demands.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), or equivalent are a plus.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and move computer equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Extended periods of sitting and standing may be required.
