CNO Financial Group's IT Team is hiring a Field Technology Operations Specialist to ensure that the infrastructure technology needs of our Field Office are met. This role will support the document management infrastructure, multifunction device hardware, and scanning/printing/fax networking needs of our Field Offices. This role includes providing direction for multiple service providers and coordinating IT activities in the field offices.

As a Field Technology Operations Specialist, your responsibilities will include:
  • Independently providing direction to multiple service providers and coordinating IT activities that occur in various CNO offices.
  • Ensuring service levels for customers in the Field Offices are met and exceeded; driving and finding opportunities for improvements and implementing accordingly.
  • Leading the execution of testing, configuration, installation, and repair of IT-related equipment used by the Field Offices team, in collaboration with other CNO team members as necessary.
  • Providing support and training for the most common problems through hands-on engagement with Field Office personnel
  • Supporting the opening, closing, and relocation of field offices from an IT Infrastructure perspective, which includes the network, voice, internet/carrier, digital document management, wiring, and logistics aspects.
  • Providing oversight for billing of technology functions in the Field Offices.
  • Owning and driving IT projects and deliverables for the teams that focus on the Field Office work.
  • Participating in an on-call rotation that includes after-hours and weekend support, and periodic off-site services if needed.
The Field Technology Operations Specialist position is well-suited for you if you:
  • Understand network fundamentals and have support experience (network configs, VPN, printing, etc.)
  • Have extensive technical knowledge of Mac OS, iOS and Android
  • Possess strong knowledge of computer applications and hardware as well as a passion for IT support
  • Possess good working knowledge of Windows 10/11 Network fundamentals and support strong ability to resolve all IT desktop issues, such as network configs, VPN, printing, etc.)
  • Telecom fundamentals and support experience
  • Infrastructure fundamentals (structured cablings, heat maps, DIA/BIA installations)
  • Demonstrate a high level of integrity and passion for customer service and can set proper expectations around support and deliverables to follow through on commitments
What you'll need:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Technology, or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience communicating with vendors to manage expectations and relationships
  • Previous experience with companies that have large remote sites and interactions with those sites, contracts, telecom providers, and carriers, and managing Remote Hands and Feet Providers in remote sites
  • Prior experience overseeing and managing the billing and financials for a vendor/service provider
  • Requires occasional travel to support staff and events.
