Job Duties

Ensuring compliance with contracts entered for Health Services on behalf of the VADOC. Performs contract verification duties including obtaining POs on contracts entered by the Health Services Unit, tracking spending on Purchase Orders established, and monitoring contract terms and compliance during the contract term. Providing feedback to agency units regarding ongoing issues or contract negotiations/renegotiation needs as applicable. Manages contract staffing compliance and review for the comprehensive medical contract that Department of Corrections (DOC) has entered. Additionally, performs fiscal support duties for the Health Services Unit spending to include monthly projections of central HSU spending, providing feedback to supervisor regarding alignment of spending with agency operating plans, providing financial analysis of institutions' medical spending as needed throughout the fiscal year, and assist with calculation needs for the Health Services Unit. Generally, provides leadership for management of contracts entered by Health Services Unit on behalf of VADOC.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience with contract reading and interpretation. Experience managing and enforcing contract compliance. Recent fiscal processing or bookkeeping experience. Experience and skills in developing processes and tracking tools for work management. Strong experience and skills in Microsoft Excel. Working knowledge of accounting principles and experience in applying policies and procedures. Ability to use oral and written communication effectively and constructively.

Additional Considerations

Experience performing fiscal support duties in a Health Services setting.
