Job Description:

This position acts as the Reporting Team Lead for the Workday Finance Implementation Team. This pivotal role provides expert guidance and technical knowledge to optimize processes, including developing and implementing policies. The Team Lead works cross-functionally across the enterprise with stakeholders and other impacted parties to determine the optimal design of assigned processes and associated workflows, provides input into the software design and implementation, and manages team progress. Leverages Subject Matter Expert and campus expertise to ensure shared governance of potential solutions.

The incumbent facilitates sessions surrounding current and proposed processes to ensure engagement with functional owners, subject matter experts, and end-user representatives. Works closely with other workstream leads and business partners to understand business processes, goals, and gaps. Assesses current financial policies and procedures and, from that, develops the ideal workflow to be used with the new system.

The position responsibilities include learning key software capabilities and how they can be applied for reporting to meet the needs of stakeholders across the enterprise, providing input into the design of business solutions, and assisting with testing and the development and implementation of end-user training.

The successful candidate will develop and track project requirements, project phasing, and schedule for relevant areas to ensure tasks and deliverables are completed timely. Assists with problem-solving to overcome obstacles encountered by the team and elevates issues to the project manager when necessary. Regularly communicates project status to project manager and Empowering UF team.

Expected Salary:

$80,500 - $95,000 annually; commensurate with education and experience.

Minimum Requirements:

Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and six years of appropriate experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience implementing and configuring a large-scale ERP, including setup and maintenance of financial structures, chart of accounts, and accounting rules.
  • Strong understanding of financial processes, accounting principles, and financial reporting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think through issues and provide alternate, well-defined solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    Proficiency in all aspects of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality results within established timelines.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet project deadlines.
