Job Description

Purpose:

The Finance Lead is responsible for setting up financial processes and preparing tools that enable consolidation of the Neuroscience and Eye care financial deliverables and monitoring the central NEC budget. This position assists with the preparation and analysis of actual results versus forecasts for the overall franchise, supports the preparation of consolidation, puts together financial review books and presentation decks and coordinates all financial processes within the team.

Responsibilities:
  • Performs month-end close activity for central NEC budget. Monitors central budget, identifies and reports variances monthly. Assists in preparing LBEs, Plan and LRP for all expenses above brands and central NEC budget.
  • Responsible for tracking of SGA expenses including marketing, salesforce expense and analyzing monthly actuals compared against Plan/Update/LBE to highlight risks and opportunities.
  • Assists with the month end close process for NEC, coordinates with US DHQ for all deliverables for the overall franchise, set up internal processes to deliver consolidated NEC financials and comments timely and accurately.
  • Coordinate planning processes, aligning with DHQ, PCS and GCF on timing and processes: develop timelines, update team calendars, communicate to NEC finance team.
  • Populates and updates the systems (BPC, PowerBI) when needed with appropriate financial information. Ensure data quality and integrity for NEC.
  • Develops comments that illustrate the financial narrative for the franchise, leveraging the brand comments.
  • Puts together financial decks and books for all financial cycles (plan, LBE, LRP) for Neuroscience as well as for Eye Care. Coordinate submission, delivery, and printing of the decks.
  • Ensures tools for planning for NEC are fit for purpose and templates are available on time for the submission of the NEC brands. Collaborate with DHQ and NEC finance teams to ensure that the consolidation templates and the tools are effective and easy to use.
  • Execute process and system improvements as per the NEC priorities.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • 4-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient excel skills, experience with BPC, PowerBI and SAP preferred; system affinity and ability to work efficiently with data.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Analytical skills, curiosity, willingness to learn
  • Advanced technical skills, knowledge of systems such as PowerBI, BPC
  • Knowledge of the financial planning process
