Finance Manager, Corp FP\u0026A, Planning \u0026 Insights

Within Amazon's Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis team (FP&A), we enjoy a unique vantage point into everything happening within Amazon. Our team provides strategic support to the CFO, CEO and senior leadership on enterprise-wide planning, analysis, and reporting. As the central place the entire company looks to for an understanding of financial performance, we play a major role in driving business decisions.
In this role, you will play a key role in processes essential to the heartbeat of Amazon Finance, including month-end close, quarter-end close, daily revenue reporting, revenue guidance and developing best practices for Corporate FP&A which have impact company wide.
This role works closely with the Global Reporting & Analytics (RFA), the Global Finance & Technology (GFT) and the business finance teams. We support automation work on behalf of stakeholders, including enhancements to business-specific planning and reporting tools.
Key job responsibilities
Key resource in month-end, quarter-end, daily revenue reporting and revenue guidance processes for total Amazon. Specifically, this role is responsible for creating the initial guidance document, consolidating and analyzing the submissions received by finance teams across Amazon and assisting with the creation of the final meeting documents that will be shared with Amazon's most senior leadership, including the Board of Directors.
Own and prepare the Daily Revenue Report, a key report for leadership that compares our daily revenues and units by segment and business versus plan.
Leverage Cognos/TM1, Apliqo, and other corporate financial systems to support deep dive analysis and results summarization in response to CFO/CEO needs.
Engage with business finance teams to support understanding and timeliness of financial deliverables.
Partner with the business and other Corporate FP&A teams to create workback calendars that support key meeting dates and ensure adequate review and preparation time.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field
- Experience delivering results for large, cross-functional initiatives/projects
- Experience performing ad hoc analysis using advanced Excel
- Experience building and managing financial models for business forecasting and problem solving
- Experience communicating results to senior leadership
- Solutions oriented, with the ability to think critically and solve complex problems
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA, or CPA
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in ambiguous situations

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $81,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
