The role you'll contribute:

The Finance Manager will support the Executive Director of Net Revenue primarily through the accounting for various state and federal reimbursement programs and transitional accounting needs for acquisitions and divestitures. The role will collaborate with hospital and corporate finance leadership for implementing process standardization, performing reviews and analysis of financial information, communicating issues to leadership and project management over the acquisitions and divestitures. A successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and have strong ability to collaborate in developing solutions with management. A control and process-oriented mindset, strong analytical and problem-solving skills and understanding of the healthcare business environment are also important.

The value that you bring to the team:

• Collaborate with other corporate, reimbursement and facility personnel around the tracking and reporting of various state and federal reimbursement programs.

• Monitor the progress of balance sheet wind down activities of divested entities or similar transactions and identify and communicate any challenges to resolve the remaining balances timely.

• Serve as a point of contact for the facility finance teams for new acquisitions and similar transactions for onboarding onto AdventHealth accounting and finance policies and procedures.

• Perform reviews of facility balance sheets and collaborate with facility personnel to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

• Assist with the project management of finance related tasks related to due diligence and transitional needs related to acquisitions, divestitures and similar transactions.

• Communicate and present effectively with senior management and stakeholders to provide updates on balance sheet review activities, acquisition accounting project status, and state waiver program reporting.

• Assist with month end tasks related the patient accounts receivable net receivable valuation performed by the centralized net revenue accounting team.

• Supports internal and external audit activities.

• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by tracking emerging trends in accounting management, attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, benchmarking state-of-the-art practices, and participating in professional societies.

• Performs other duties as assigned or directed to ensure the smooth operation of the department.

• Available outside of normal business hours for occasional support needs.

Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed :

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent degree from a four-year accredited university or college

• Six or more years of progressive accounting or financial analysis experience

• Two or more years of people-leadership experience

• Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal control environments

• Strong analytical, data analysis, communication, and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders to build synergy toward achieving goals

• Self-starter with excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills

• Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, complete day to day activities and handle all urgent requests

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications :

• Master's degree in Business Administration

• CPA

• Experience in a corporate service or healthcare organization

• Proficiency in PeopleSoft, Hyperion Financial Management or Workday

• Advanced Excel skills
