Kennedys is looking to recruit a Financial Systems Analyst based in Basking Ridge, New Jersey, New York, or Miami, Florida to support our North American and LATAM offices. The role will collaborate with our London-based team to provide first-line support for our global financial applications, offer essential training to our finance and legal teams, and support those teams through finance-led projects. Fluency in Spanish is required to effectively support our LATAM operations. This position offers an excellent opportunity to become an integral part of a dynamic global finance team and to contribute to the success of our North American and LATAM operations. This role is hybrid. We are particularly interested in Legal Billers from legal backgrounds, or Billers from professional services backgrounds.

Team

Kennedys Financial Systems team support and develop Kennedys' global suite of financial systems. The team work closely with the global finance team to implement technology solutions to drive efficiency and process improvement in line with the Firm's strategy and ambitions. The team supports the following applications; Elite 3E - Time, Billing and Practice Management, Chrome River - Expense & Invoice Management, Quantum - Global KPI Dashboards & Profitability Reporting, Evaluate - Matter Budgeting & Pricing, Workday - Budgeting and Forecasting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the initial point of contact for all financial application support requests coming out of our US and LATAM offices
  • Deliver training on financial systems and processes both in-person and via the creation of user-friendly documentation and resources to aid in understanding and optimising system utilisation
  • Collaborate with Kennedys IT team to troubleshoot and resolve system issues promptly and ensure uninterrupted operations
  • Work with project teams to provide financial systems expertise and support in project planning and execution. Contribute to the design, testing and implementation of new applications, processes or enhancements and assist with local, statutory and client requirements
  • Assist with testing; provide functional test plans and test datasets, test application upgrades, document and support other testers as required.

Required Experience
  • Experience working in a professional services environment
  • A solid understanding of finance operations and accounting principles
  • Experience of working with the Elite 3e Practice Management system
  • Spanish fluency a plus
  • Previous experience in a financial systems support or analyst role is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues related to financial systems
  • Previous experience working in a technical or finance role within a global law firm - desirable
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a global team
  • Demonstrated adaptability and a commitment to continuous learning
  • Proven track record of identifying inefficiencies and implementing process improvements to optimise operational efficiency.
