Reporting to the Clinical Trial Revenue Manager, the Financial Analyst - Revenue Integrity plays an important role in a high-profile group tasked with improving revenue results by taking a broad view of clinical and financial processes, functions, and interdependencies from the provision of patient care to final bill generation and collection. Due to its project management emphasis, this position requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, superb analytic and organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines while influencing, but not directly managing the work of others.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyzes the full financial life of a clinical trial to determine additional revenue opportunities
  • Creates and sends invoices, fixing billing errors and communicating across departments to ensure accuracy.
  • Reviews contracts and payment terms closely to identify all available revenue and take corrective measures.
  • Documents and communicates process-related areas for improvement and work with the Revenue Manager to develop and implement a plan of correction.
  • Effectively communicates across the broader finance team efficiently addressing gaps in workflow or missed opportunities to improve overall revenue integrity
  • Leads and participates in complex projects related to revenue cycle initiatives. Provides oversight for projects in which support analysts are involved.
  • Develops, maintains and implements Revenue Integrity policies, procedures and training materials offering training as needed.


Qualifications

Skills/Abilities/Competencies

  • Ability to research, analyze and interpret healthcare policies billing guidelines and payment terms.
  • Full Microsoft Suite applications ability, with Advanced Proficiency in MS Excel skills required.
  • Ability to document clinical workflows impacting revenue cycle.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Capacity to manage time effectively, attention to detail, and follow-through.
  • Motivated individual who can mentor and inspire in a team environment.
  • Strong strategic thinker with advanced business acumen.


EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics or Health Administration discipline highly desired.

EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years' experience in a professional healthcare setting preferred. Knowledge of financial analysis in a health care setting is strongly preferred.
