Summary of Role: Join our dynamic Employee Benefits team in a pivotal support role that combines analytical prowess with client-focused service. As a key member of the team, you will engage in daily data analysis and reporting, tailored to meet the unique needs of our clients. Your responsibilities will include managing and meticulously reviewing vendor reports to ensure accuracy, creating comprehensive client-specific reports that provide valuable insights, and participating in meetings to discuss findings and strategies. This role is ideal for detail-oriented professionals passionate about data-driven decision-making and exceptional client service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Data analysis - assist the team in gathering, organizing, and entering information and data into Excel spreadsheets, Power BI, and Tableau to be used for various client projects. Types of projects and responsibilities that would be used in Client meetings and budget discussions. You will be responsible to provide meaningful and actionable data in a clear and concise manner that tracks plan performance and drive decisions.

The position's main responsibilities include tracking claims experience gather data from client and vendors; check the data for reasonableness; and enter into an Excel template, which tracks actual versus expected healthcare costs for a client on a monthly basis.

Additional responsibilities include but not limited to developing projections and IBNR estimates for Self-Funded plans, reviewing the financial impact of carrier, plan and/or migration changes, directly or indirectly assisting and supporting client initiatives and performing demographic analysis.

Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a demanding work environment
  • Effectively establish rapport, present information and respond to questions from managers, clients and coworkers.
  • Ability to work independently and on a team
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
Education and/or Experience:

  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills; strong command of Excel
  • Experience with Power BI and Tableau a plus but not required
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

The base salary range for this position is $46,000 $90,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
