Lincoln Prairie Behavioral Health Center is a 97-bed facility located in Springfield, Illinois. We are dedicated to providing youth with compassionate mental health treatment that encourages self-responsibility and personal growth. We are the only facility of our kind in Central Illinois! We provide psychiatric treatment to children and adolescents that present with a broad range of psychiatric and behavioral disorders. A clinically skilled multidisciplinary team works to partner with the youth and family to accomplish their goals in a supportive and therapeutic environment

Summary: Responsible for assisting and directing patients and Lincoln Prairie staff in matters and/or concerns related to business process and procedures. To maintain or monitor through completion, those functions directly outlined as their area of responsibility.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or GED required. Min 2-3 years experience, responsible for assisting and directing patients and RMC staff in matters and/or concerns related to business process and procedures.

Certifications, Licenses and Registrations: None.

Essential Functions:
Essential functions are those tasks, duties and responsibilities that comprise the means of accomplishing the job's purpose and objectives. Essential functions are critical or fundamental to the performance of the job. They are the major functions for which the person in the job is held accountable. Note: (other duties may be assigned, deleted or changed at any time, at the discretion of management, formally, or informally, either verbally or in writing).
1. Assume the responsibility of New Patient Registration and creation of the patient's Medical records.
2. Assume the responsibility for updating patient demographic and/or insurance information, as identified by either the patient or via a written update.
3. Conduct patient interviews to gain information.
4. Arrange payment plans, as necessary
5. Collect and prepare charge tickets, as assigned for central charge entry.
6. Assist patients and RMC staff with billing, eligibility or benefit concerns.
7. Work directly with front and/or back office to obtain the necessary information to complete the functions outlined above.
