Preferred Knowledge/Skills:

Demonstrates extensive-level abilities performing on financial crimes compliance-related consulting engagements, including:
  • US, EU, UK, and other jurisdictions' Sanctions and AML laws and regulations as well having a thorough understanding and experience of how to apply such requirements in a business;
  • Banking products and services and Banking operations;
  • Banking processes, including commercial, retail, private banking, broker dealers, and transactional flows; and,
  • Common and emerging financial crimes compliance issues impacting Financial Services clients.


Demonstrates extensive abilities and a proven record of success in managerial roles involving analysis and program assessments as it relates to Sanctions and AML/BSA solutions, especially in the following areas:
  • Possessing knowledge of Financial crimes compliance, including developing, analyzing and assessing financial crimes compliance programs, constructing, monitoring, and auditing programs, conducting risk assessments and investigations, and working with organization management to integrate compliance controls into the scope of existing business practices;
  • Developing solutions related to strategy, operations, and management in a number of financial crimes compliance functional areas of financial institutions, Fintech firms, and corporates;
  • Developing and delivering compliance training;
  • Managing of multiple, complex projects; and,
  • Providing leadership and direction of medium-to-large staff teams.


Demonstrates extensive-level abilities and success involving the regulatory know-how and application of Sanctions and BSA/AML, including related regulatory authorities, especially working with banking and financial firms across multiple business areas- banking, lending, trading, and risk management- to evaluate, implement and/or develop the following areas:
  • Demonstrating knowledge of Customer on-boarding procedures including KYC, CIP, CDD, and EDD;
  • Sanctions screening and transaction monitoring solutions, investigating potential suspicious activity;
  • Developing AML and OFAC risk assessments, including OFAC/Sanctions and/or screening programs and AML policies and procedures;
  • Developing and reviewing of sanctions compliance programs, including relevant controls, policies and procedures, and other key elements of a sanctions compliance program;
  • Utilizing an analytic mind-set and creative problem-solving abilities when applying regulatory requirements in a business environment;
  • Interpreting information and regulatory requirements in order to create policy and supporting implementing procedures in a business environment; and,
  • Strategic application and know-how of internal control environment that is appropriate to mitigate the risks with laws and regulations.


Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success with leading client-facing consulting teams, and communicating with external clients and internal staff in an organized and knowledgeable manner, all of which include the following areas:
  • Leveraging project management and project facilitation skills, especially with facilitating teams and developing client proposals;
  • Identifying and addressing client needs: building, maintaining, and utilizing networks of client relationships and community involvement; communicating value propositions; managing resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing and collections; and preparing and/or coordinating complex written and verbal materials; and,
  • Developing risk management programs, including risk monitoring and reporting, risk assessment and prioritization, and the facilitation of the definition of an organization's risk appetite and risk tolerance in alignment with their organization's strategy.

The salary range for this position is: $100,000 - $232,000, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
