The candidate supports the Corporate Development and M&A activity of Black Bear Sports Group, Inc. the largest owner-operator of ice arenas and youth hockey teams and leagues in the United States. Black Bear Sports Group is the largest portfolio company of Blackstreet Capital Holdings, a Washington DC based holding company that seeks control investments in diversified operating companies. The position is responsible for mergers and acquisitions support and financial planning and analysis for Black Bear Sports Group's portfolio of hockey franchises and 30+ ice arena real estate holdings. The position is responsible for transactional analysis and support on real estate acquisitions, budgeting, and forecasting and analysis related to the financial performance of the company. Priority work includes, but is not limited to, investment model and materials preparation, due diligence on target acquisitions, M&A process support, debt placement, bank relationship management, KPI and management dashboard reporting and company budget preparation. The position works out of the Blackstreet Capital Holdings investment office in downtown Bethesda, MD, and reports directly to the Vice President of Black Bear Sports Group.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform transactional diligence and support the acquisition of new facilities and teams
- Develop and manage the annual budget, including a working 3-statement projection
- Assist the VP in seeking and securing senior debt from commercial real estate lenders
- Perform analysis as needed on programming opportunities, maximizing utilization and ROI on capital projects
- Review and analyze monthly financial performance vs. budget
- Support and assist in the production and presentation of investor materials
- Learn and become proficient in the accounting and point of sale systems
Education Requirements:
- Minimum Level of Education Required: Bachelor's Degree
Position Knowledge/Skills & Abilities Requirements:
- At least two years of Accounting, Mergers and Acquisitions, or Financial Planning & Analysis experience
- Must be extremely proficient in Excel
- Knowledge of hockey / ice sports is a plus
- Strong communication skills, particularly oral communication (ability to communicate by telephone)
- Anticipates and effectively handles change; demonstrates willingness to try new skills and challenging tasks; and is flexible in changing conditions.
