JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for supporting the strategic initiatives with the Finance and Strategy Team for Norwegian Cruise Line. Monitor revenue forecasting, planning and reporting as well as develop and implement planning and reporting improvements. Develop monthly forecasts and annual plans.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Compile and analyze weekly ticket revenue report. Work with team to develop monthly revenue forecasts and annual financial plans. Reconcile and resolve variances of revenue plans and actuals.
  • Make recommendations to enhance current revenue reporting, forecasting and planning processes and models. Develop and implement revenue planning model enhancements.
  • Compare current market performance with historical trends and develop revenue forecasting recommendations.
  • Provide analytical support to internal customers for revenue planning and actual information; execute ad hoc projects with various internal departments.
  • Prepare, analyze and present information on strategic planning and revenue management improvement projects.
  • Partner with the IT Systems Group to develop and enhance reporting and analytic tools (data warehouse) and provide documentation procedures.
  • Perform other job-related functions as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

DEGREE TYPE: Bachelor's Degree

FIELD(S) OF STUDY: Finance, Accounting, Economics

EXPERIENCE: Minimum 2 years of experience in finance or business planning, working with complex data modeling, and cruise line or hospitality industry experience preferred.

COMPETENCIES/SKILLS:
  • Advanced-level proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite with special emphasis on Excel spreadsheet analysis.
  • Experience with data mining tools (Hyperion/Brio), PeopleSoft accounting general ledger and Hyperion Essbase financial reporting and planning tools as well as Tableau. Strong analytical skills for data interpretation and reporting.
  • Verbal and written communication skills to effectively work with team members and present recommendations.
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with various internal customers.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage ad hoc requests in concert with existing workload and shift priorities per business needs.
  • Creative and problem-solving skills for business and data modeling to achieve the productivity level expectations.
