Job Description

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory (NNL) is seeking a Financial Professional to join our team! Join the Financial Services team in the Funds Management and Controls unit. In this role, you will perform various financial functions related to managing the Department of Navy Prime Contract. Responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Month-end closing activities.
  • Calculate Navy expenditures and distribute for monthly drawdown.
  • Performance reporting and financial analysis.
  • Manage funding on the Department of Navy Prime Contract to ensure limits are not exceeded.
  • Review and approve Bechtel Plant Machinery, Inc. invoicing supporting Naval Reactors Technical/Budget Plan work.
  • Calculate Indirect Open Commitment and distribute.
  • Review and approve current year Navy Database Control Records.
  • Complete Navy Procurement Proposal (annual submittal).
  • Calculate Navy fee and update estimates as needed.
  • Suspense account reconciliations.
  • Purchase Order Open Commitment report


Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience; or
  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.


Preferred Skills

  • Degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance is preferred.
  • Experience with analyzing financial performance and providing business recommendations.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent teaming skills including working across business locations.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.

Pay Range

$92,900.00 - $145,200.00 annually

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is operated for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) by Fluor Marine Propulsion, LLC (FMP), a wholly owned subsidiary of Fluor Corporation.
