In Financial Technology (FinTech) at Amazon, we are building scalable, reliable, high throughput, and low latency data stores and machine learning applications for Liquidity and Risk Management. Our applications provide actionable forecasts for liquidity management while our platform deliver the required datasets to evaluate the company's risk exposure and cost to mitigate those risks.

As a Software Development Engineer (SDE) in FinTech, you will work with machine learning scientists, software engineers, data engineers product managers, and business stakeholders across Finance globally. You will design and implement risk engines to calculate Amazon's risk profile and assess the incurred cost to insure these risks. You will productize Amazon Web Services (AWS) SageMaker models, build machine learning pipeline, and create high performing forecasting applications to assist our business teams in Finance making long-term and short-term financial goals.

As an SDE at Amazon you will design, develop, and launch core product features. You will share and implement your innovative ideas, continue raising the bar on operational excellence, software sustainability, and reliability. You will have influence on shaping product features, drive the system architecture, and spearhead the best practices that enable a quality product. At any given time you will own one or two dedicate workstreams and take them to completion. You will participate our hiring process and help us to attract top talents and coaching junior engineers to success.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
