Primary Purpose:
Drive hazardous and non-hazardous waste to landfill for disposal.
Essential Functions and Requirements:
Education: High School Diploma or its equivalent required.
Experience: Class B CDL with one year of CDL driving experience required. Class A CDL preferred. Hazmat Endorsement required. Tanker Endorsement Preferred. Ability to drive manual and automatic commercial vehicles required.
Knowledge and Abilities: This is a safety sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function. Ability to wear personal protective equipment, including respirator. Good interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate with internal and external contacts. Ability to understand RCRA compliance standards and OSHA safety regulations and DOT Regulations. Must meet Heritage driving qualifications. Ability to lift 60 lbs. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.

Essential Functions and Requirements:
- Ensures Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
- Loads and unloads bulk solid hazardous materials from dump trucks and roll-offs.
- Performs job in a safe manner, following all safety procedures.
- Prior to driving transportation equipment, prepares for daily trip by inspecting vehicle and equipment, fueling truck, and ensuring all equipment is in excellent operating order.
- Maintains logbook for DOT compliance and state and federal regulations.
- Must climb equipment to lining boxes and perform other task.
- Work with bows, tarps and liners.
- Drives between Heritage facilities to transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste material to next facility for unloading and disposal.
- Completes uniform hazardous waste manifests, bills of lading, company documents, and other marking and placarding documents for every load managed following Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Position handles hazardous materials and will often require use of PPE: Boots, Gloves, Suits, Eye/Ear Protection and Respirator
- Ensure regulatory compliance with hazardous waste (RCRA) regulations and DOT regulations.
