Position Description

The Fixed Income Division Securitized Products Lending & New Issue Group is currently seeking a full time Analyst or Associate to work on all aspects of executing asset-backed securities and financing transactions. This will include working with clients and the group's structuring, lending, trading, capital markets and syndication teams to help pitch, structure, and execute transactions. Analysts/associates may have the opportunity to work across multiple asset classes including residential and commercial real estate, corporate credit, consumer assets and esoteric assets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create financial models to project cash flows and run scenario analysis in Excel and other software applications.

• Work with different internal and external counterparts to execute on all aspects of securitization transactions.

• Prepare PowerPoint presentations and marketing materials for sales distribution.

• Perform risk analysis on lending positions across various asset classes and present the results at internal committee meetings.

• Create models to assist traders in analyzing and valuing risk for securities backed by pools of loans or leases in different sectors.

• Provide support to the Capital Markets and Investment Banking Divisions by creating models and presentations related to financing or disposition opportunities.

• Provide support to the Lending business by managing operational processes of loan booking and selling, position marking, and risk/PnL signoff.

• Manage the interest rate and credit risk hedging program for the loan desk, including the rate locking and pricing of loans with clients.

Qualifications:

• An Undergraduate or Master's degree

• For analysts, preferred if you've had at least one internship in a Finance-related field and have a genuine interest in the financial markets, specifically Fixed Income

• For associates, preferred if you've had work experience of 2+ years in Securitized Products (CLOs, ABS, CMBS or RMBS)

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $110,000 and $125,000 per year for Analyst, and between $150,000 and $200000 per year for Associate, at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
