Job Title: Fleet mechanic Automotive ASE Automotive Service Vehicles Trucks/cars
Location: Torrance, CA or Camarillo, CA or Jasper, IN

Duration: 6+ Months

Working model: 5 days on-site

Manager note:

Working model: 5 days on-site(Work will be performed in the shop)

Client will supply the tools and safety equipment

Travel -Not every day in the shop, at some point they need to go the customer for repairs

M to F (40 hours per week)-willing to work overtime as well

Required::

ASE Certification Preferred

Candidates with ASE certification or at least 5 years of continuous work in the field are highly preferred.

Class B CDL License

Servicing trucks and cars

Light maintenance work

Vehicle Maintenance

Breaking down suspension

steering components

Electrical systems checks, including lights

Engine diagnostics

Basic Computer Knowledge

Ability to read and interpret excel spreadsheets

Excellent communication skill

Job Description:

• Position operates a diverse fleet of vehicles, trailers, and motorized equipment.
• The Vehicle Maintenance Technician is responsible to maintain this equipment to a safe and compliant standard and maintain comprehensive maintenance records.

Day to day responsibilities:

1.Strong diagnostic ability

2.Working on heavy vehicles and equipment - Freightliner with a digger/aerials, CDL/Class A/B license. Medium Duty C4500 Ram. Air Brake vehicles.

3.Any ASE certification is a Plus

4. Drive line diagnostic. Transmission, differentials, suspension, brakes, engine repairs

5. Effectively communicate, Microsoft Edge/Email

6.Do they currently have a commercial DL's, smog license, ASE certified (even if it has expired, willing to review).

Responsibilities:
• Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Perform preventative maintenance inspections on Company vehicles and equipment
• Perform repairs to chassis and ancillary equipment
• Diagnose and repair of complete drive-train
• Diagnose and repair of AC and DC electrical systems
• Diagnose and repair of hydraulic systems
• Maintain paper and digital automotive equipment service records
• May be required to perform additional duties and tasks as required by the Company

Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Must be proficient with computer, including but not limited to email, MS Excel, and MS Word.
• Must be proficient in locating online information and materials.
• Must possess good to excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to obtain a valid unrestricted California Commercial Driver's License, including Air Brake.
• If required at the assigned job site, must demonstrate proficiency in the operation of a vehicle equipped with standard (manual shift) transmission. License must be kept current as a condition of employment.
• Minimum 5 years' experience. Class A or B CDL.
• Must possess an Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Master Automotive or Master Medium/Heavy Truck certification.
• Must maintain a clean working environment and work with safety as a top priority.
• Must possess the ability to perceive difference in colors. Some form of ASE certification(s) or equivalent experience(is a Plus)
• Computer literacy (utilizing excel spreadsheets, outlook, and shop maintenance software.
• Certification Requirements-ASE Certification(s) preferred
