Job Title: Fleet Safety Coordinator

Position Description :

The p urpose of this position is to oversee and maintain compliant DOT and company record retention processes for the complex. To be a central position for the flow of documentation and information from the Driver Managers to the Fleet Safety Department. This position needs to be courteous and professional at all times as they will be communicating with internal and external personnel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Conduct a weekly minimum audit for 10% of the complex fleet to ensure compliance.

Will work closely with Driver managers and HR to process new drivers and oversee compliance for all drivers.

Monitor and Maintain Driver Qualification files in Driver Management On-line Program for accuracy.

Point of contact for complex management team for all Fleet Safety/DOT compliant processes.

Monitor driver hours of service records to ensure compliance and address all concerns.

Facilitate a monthly Accident Review Board Meeting to assign accountability .

Monitor Pro- Thread Driver Training Process.

Conduct Smith System Driver Training.

Essential Skills:

Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications

Must posses s strong organizational skills

Be able to multi-task in a fast paced atmosphere

Hands on an detailed

Good internal relationship

Have Fleet/Safety DOT regulations as a top priority

Knowledge of Driver Management On-Line Beneficial

Knowledge of DOT regulations beneficial

Certified as a Smith System Instructor or be able to obtain certification

High School Diploma/GED required with some college preferred
