Kwik Trip, Inc . operates a Truck Maintenance Shop, located in La Crosse, WI. The Fleet Maintenance Department has a team of 50+ co-workers responsible for maintaining the 600+ vehicles operated by Kwik Trip. Our facility operates 24/7, 365 days a year maintaining our modern fleet of gasoline, diesel, and natural gas power equipment which includes: Class 8 tractors and straight trucks; Class 6 and 7 straight trucks; petroleum tankers; multi-temp refrigeration units; light trucks and automotive equipment. Our state-of-the-art shop is equipped with truck and automotive hoists, quality tooling and safety equipment, and is natural gas compliant. This individual's responsibilities include but are not limited to: Manage reactive and preventative maintenance tasks within the Truck Shop. Maintain outstanding customer service while assisting with the supervision of mechanics, operating software programs, and communicating with our Parts Department. Successfully manage customer requests by determining the most effective means of meeting the customers need and coordinating the appropriate action(s).Greet customers and assist them with their needs by determining most effect method of resolution and handling or arranging the appropriate response. Answer incoming customer calls and assist them with their needs by determining most effect method of resolution and handling or arranging the appropriate response.

Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Manage customer requests by determining the most effective means of meeting the customers' needs and coordinating the appropriate action(s).
  • Prioritization of both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance
  • Maintain interdepartmental communications to ensure timely staging of equipment for maintenance needs
  • Maintain equipment status' for assets in Fleet Services
  • Communicate regularly with Leads and Supervisors when changes to the daily workload occur due to outside influences
  • Communicate with Dispatch to validate their equipment needs are met
  • Communicate with outside vendors to monitor repair status' of subbed and/or warranty work
  • Assist with daily administrative duties in relation to department operating systems


Qualifications:
  • Successful candidates should possess at least 2 years in an administrative / support role or equivalent experience/education
  • Strong interpersonal skills via telephone
  • Ability to remain calm in a stressful work environment
  • Prioritize / manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to process, interpret, and communicate (verbal and written) information to co-workers and customers in a professional manner
  • Accurate / detail oriented
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Work well alone or as part of a team
  • Work well with minimal supervision
  • Possess strong time management / organizational skills
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Strong ability to operate a personal computer with knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Possess strong typing and data entry skills and comfort with office equipment is required
  • Knowledge of transportation operations, maintenance, and DOT regulations is a plus
  • Valid driver license with a clean driving record
